CEREC Dental Crowns in Centennial, CO
Many of us don't appreciate all the work our teeth do every day until one of them breaks or gets a cavity and stops functioning correctly. Missing teeth also take a significant toll on your appearance, comfort, and confidence.
At the office of Michael J Franquemont DDS, your oral health matters to us, and so does your quality of life. We bring you the most updated dental care available today, and our state-of-the-art CEREC dental crowns and bridges can help you love your smile again.
Why We Recommend Dental Crowns
Our dentist in Centennial always chooses the most conservative option, and in many cases, a filling is all that's needed to restore a decayed or broken tooth. But there are several situations where the additional support provided by a dental crown is the best solution for protecting your oral health.
- A cavity is too extensive for a filling to protect the tooth
- A root-canaled tooth needs support and protection
- A dental bridge requires crowns placed on adjacent teeth
- A dental implant needs a crown to restore function and appearance
Rest assured that if Dr. Mike recommends a porcelain dental crown, he will explain why and how it will benefit your oral health in the long-term.
Why CEREC Dental Crowns?
In decades of dentistry, the purpose of dental crowns hasn't changed. What has changed, however, is that CEREC technology has given us a way to streamline the process from weeks to hours. With CEREC, Dr. Mike can deliver beautiful, durable same-day dental crowns for his Centennial patients.
The first step is similar to a lab-fabricated crown where our dentist alters the shape of your tooth slightly. That's where the similarity ends, however, because the next step is comfortable digital impressions that do away with the mess and discomfort of paste impressions.
Digital impressions also provide the information we need to create a highly detailed virtual 3-D model of your tooth. Using specialized software, Dr. Mike designs the dental crown so it looks natural and blends beautifully with your smile. We send the digital file to a CEREC milling machine in our office that works similarly to a 3-D printer and fabricates your custom crown with accuracy and precision.
If we need to make any adjustments, we can do so during the same appointment without the need for a return visit. We then cement your new crown securely in place, and there's no need for messy impressions, temporary crowns, or a two to three-week wait for a new restoration.
Dental Bridges Replace Missing Teeth
Tooth loss can happen to anyone, and it's always a good idea to replace a missing tooth sooner rather than later. Even if it isn't noticeable, a missing tooth can lead to a multitude of problems like crooked teeth, bone loss, teeth grinding, TMJ problems, and even further tooth loss.
We offer CEREC bridges at our Centennial dental office to replace missing teeth and give you back your smile. Dr. Mike designs an artificial tooth called a pontic to fill the open space in your smile and anchors it to adjacent teeth with CEREC dental crowns.
With your beautiful new bridge in place, you can once again chew comfortably and smile confidently around others.
Can CEREC Crowns & Bridges Benefit You?
Dr. Mike has been using CEREC technology at our Centennial dental office since 2005, and his patients love the quality and durability of the restorations he produces. If you have broken or missing teeth, please call us to schedule an appointment to learn more.
